Pat Adams loves nothing more than singing the praises of Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT)’s Home Care services and can’t believe she could get financially rewarded for doing it.

The 90-year-old resident of Karinya Village in Corowa has been a client for many years and takes every opportunity she gets to encourage friends and family to move their Home Care package across to Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) because she is so happy with the service she receives.

And under a new promotion running for a limited time, if you switch your Home Care package to Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) you’ll receive a $250 gift card or if you refer a friend, you’ll both receive a $250 gift card.

Pat said she doesn’t need any financial incentive to encourage people to make the move but a $250 gift card is an unexpected bonus.

“I don’t need any rewards for encouraging people to join Southern Cross Care, they really are that good,” she smiled.

“At 90 years of age my Home Care package allows me to live independently, it’s that simple but that important.

“They do everything for me from take me to appointments, organise meals if I want them, do cleaning or are just someone at the other end of the phone if I need someone to talk to.

“When I tell my friends who are with other providers about Southern Cross Care, they really can’t believe the service I receive and want to know how to switch their package across.

“Southern Cross Care’s Home Care services are just marvellous, and I’ve talked many of the residents here in the village to switch.”

Home Care New Business Manager Lorrae Kennedy, who has spent the past month on the road visiting sites across NSW, said people have been eager to take part in the presentations about the Switch campaign, some coming prepared with questions while others wanting more information about what’s on offer.

“The Switch campaign has been a positive experience with village residents excited to come together for a catch up and to ask questions and find out more,” she said.

“For example, we were recently in Corowa and thought numbers at our presentation would be low due to the torrential rain, but we still managed 12 people with someone switching on the day and two other enquiries that are being followed up.

"I’m constantly being told by our clients that they have told their friends and family that they should switch as they will be looked after.

“Our Home Care services help people to remain independent in the comfort of their own home and continue to be part of their local community.”
