Enhancing Spiritual and Pastoral Care

North Turramurra Residential Aged Care has begun extensive renovation work on its striking chapel, marking the continual significant investment in the spiritual and pastoral care of staff, residents, and their families.

The renovation, which includes repairs to the facias and eaves, is part of our stewardship in maintaining the historical integrity of our properties and ensuring their longevity.

Although the chapel will be closed for about eight weeks, services will continue in another part of the home ensuring spiritual needs are met without interruption whether through prayer, reflection, or the comfort of community.

Facility Manager Rebecca Galvin emphasised the importance of the work to ensure the chapel’s longevity.

"While it will be difficult for our community to be without it for a couple of months, it's essential that we maintain this beautiful space for not only today but for future generations to come,” she said.

“It’s such a lovely round structure featuring breathtaking stained-glass windows which has always been a very popular and well-known feature of the home.

“Carrying out the extensive work is us ensuring that the chapel continues to be a place of comfort and reflection.

“We thank everyone for their patience and understanding while the necessary work is carried out.”

A special service, coinciding with the Easter period, will be celebrated once the renovation is completed.
